People called him Dr Oyenusi,but thorough investigations shows that he is far from being a medical Doctor. His failure to complete his secondary school made him made a wrong turn to the negative side of life and this led to his jeopady as he face the capital punishment from Nigerian government that put an end to his life.

Nothing was disclosed about this nutorious armed robber,except that his parents were unable to finance his education,therefore this made him drop out of school and begin to indulge in the world of crime.
Ishola Oyenusi was first imprisoned when he was 21 years old,he escaped about 8 times from police custody. And then he decided to become a professional armed robber,car jacker and an assassin. He took part in 10 major robberies and murder over a period of 6 year until he faced his waterloo in 1971.

Some of his colleagues in crime include

* Joel Amamieye
* Joel Ndubuokwo
* Ambrose Nwokobia
* Philip Ogbolumain
* Joseph Osamedike
* Ademola Adegbitan

They are all dead through execution in 1971. Any resemblance in Name or Picture to someone alive today is accidental.

Ishola Oyenusi’s entering into world of crime is quite romantic. It was reported that he snatch his first car in operation at Herbert Marcaulay road Yaba,Lagos simply because his girlfriend got broke financially,and in order to provide for the need of his sweetheart he snatch the car, shot the owner and killed him then he sold the car for N400. After this he took part in many criminal activities including Armed Robbery,Car Jacking and Murder because of this,his colleagues nicknamed him “Dr Rob and Kill”. He took part in 10 major robberies and murders over a period of 6 years.

Ishola Oyenusi met his waterloo in march 1971, when he was nabbed by the Nigerian Police after he organized a robbery in which $28,000 was stolen. They also killed one police constable in the operation at WAHUM Factory,Ikeja Lagos.
He was executed along with his gang members at Bar Beach Lagos around 10:00 am. Over 30,000 Nigerian trooped to the site to witness the execution of him who terrorized Lagos metropolys with violence like that. He died smiling on his stake as smartshooters released bullets on his body which he claimed is immunized against ammunitions before the day he faced the reality.

After his death,people are still fearful about him. In an occassion, a Director by name Chief Eddie Ugbomah directed a film tittled “The Rise And Fall Of Ishola Oyenusi” in 1977-1979, six years after the crisis. The artists in the film industry refused to come forward to act the role of Oyenusi, why’ because they feared the remnant of his gang members would attack them. The director himself had to act the role himself.
