An unfortunate man has ended up being crushed to tragic death by a huge elephant which he was trying to wash.

A man was crushed to death by an elephant after he beat it with a stick while washing it.
Arun Panikkar, 40, slipped as he hit the huge animal in Kerala, southern India.
The man beat the huge animal with a stick while washing it
CCTV footage shows the man, who is the elephant’s carer, standing near the side of the elephant as he apparently instructed to sit.
He then hit the animal with a stick then slips just as the huge beast falls onto the ground, crushing him.
Later examination confirmed he had been killed instantly
A pal, who is off-camera, then rushes into view and attempts to move the huge elephant but it was too late.
Eventually, he uses a huge stick to persuade the animal to stand up and is then seen pulling the injured elephant carer from underneath its body.
The unfortunate man slipped under the elephant just as it sat down on his head
Mr. Panikkar was killed instantly from serious head injuries.
An investigation is being carried out into the tragedy involving the elephant, which was reportedly owned by local hospital trust.
