AN alleged paedophile has been arrested after admitting raping a three year old girl – and infecting her with STDs, police say.
Drevon Alexander Perkins attacked the helpless toddler in January – after which she contracted chlamydia and gonnorrhea, according to prosecutors in Texas.
The victim’s horrified mum rushed her child to the hospital after noticing suspicious discharge in her nappy, according to court records cited by ABC13 NEws.
Doctors diagnosed the girl with the two sexually transmitted diseases – sparking a police probe.
Perkins was ordered to carry out a polygraph test by detectives – during which he allegedly admitted to raping the girl while high on drugs.
He is said to have waited until the girl’s mother left for work before attacking her.
It is unclear what Perkins’ relationship to the child is.
The court records also show that tests revealed the alleged pervert has the same STDs as the little girl.
Perkins is facing a charge of super aggravated sexual assault of a child – which carries a minimum 25-year prison sentence.
He was booked into the Bexar County Jail on a $100,000 bail.
