Controversial senator, Dino Melaye has declared his intention to join the Kogi State governorship race.
Dino Melaye who represents Kogi West, on Saturday declared interest to contest for the governorship seat of the state.
According to online reports, Mr Melaye announced his bid in Ayetoro, Kogi state while formally informing the People Democratic Party, PDP leaders in his constituency.
“By the grace of God I will emerge the next Kogi Governor,” he said.
“He (Melaye) has met with PDP leaders in Aiyetoro Gbede and informed them of his decision to run for governor. He will still make a formal declaration,” the source, who did not want to be named told TheCable.
