Elizabeth Akinola Babalola, the woman who allegedly beat her four-year-old daughter, Testimony, to death on August 21st, was today remanded in prison custody following her arraignment before a Chief Magistrates’ Court sitting in Akure, Ondo state.
It was reported that Felix Babalola, who is currently on the run, and his wife Elizabeth beat their daughter to death over claims that she is an evil child. Elizabeth rushed her daughter to the hospital after she slumped and escaped with her corpse after she was informed by the doctors that the little girl had died.
After a detailed search was launched by the police, Elizabeth was fished out from her hiding and arrested. She was arraigned in court today. The police say efforts are being made to get her husband arrested.
