A Nigerian man did a live video Facebook broadcast to celebrate Nigeria’s Independence anniversary.
The angry man stated that the reasons for the funny face characters is to prove that the country is a complete joke, that there is nothing to felicitate about the country after 59 years of independence.
In his words;
Nigeria is a complete joke, 59 years of darkness
59 years of no electricity
59 years of bad roads
59 years of insecurity
59 years of no education
59 years of no healthcare
He added that the citizens value BBNaija more than what really affects them, that even the Nigerian celebrities are not excluded, they cannot speak up for the people seeing they have the platform, and he made an example with the music icon Akon, that Akon single-handedly gave over 20 million people electricity.
The young man who is the President of Godsent Foundation, a Charity Organization that has been feeding at least 200-300 people every Saturday in the last 18 months, he also expressed his grievances over the way Omoyele Sowore, the former presidential candidate and founder of online news agency Sahara Reporters is being maltreated by the government because he is fighting for the betterment of all Nigerians.
Ambassador Dion Osagie also warned his friend not to wish him happy independence, that if they do, he is going to unfriend them immediately because wishing him happy independence shows they don’t share the same ideals, saying how can he be happy when the government has not given him anything to be happy about? In a country where they pay ransom to kidnappers to free Deputy Inspector-General of Police, If they can kidnap a policeman then we are not safe, or a country where the president will go to the UK for a medical checkup? He asks.
