A University of Benin (UNIBEN) graduate identified as Jaymos also known as Aficionado was shot dead on Friday 1 November by unknown gunmen at the Faculty of Arts Jean Carnival of the university.
Nasoweseeamonline perceive it was a cult crash according to the caption of the posts shared online by a Facebook user Osigwe Omo Ikirodah
His caption read;
Uniben students currently on a riot this night after bloody cult clash this evening

The alleged cult crash that led to the death of Jaymos reportedly started in the afternoon, on the video below that captured the moment the young man was shot dead shows the day was still bright, it is not stated if the late Jaymos was part of a any cult group, some online users insinuated that it could be the case of ‘being at the wrong place…’
Jaymos before his death was a hype man for clubs, a teacher at a popular lecture centre of the State and also a graduate of nursing, it was said to have been shot in the head and died on his way to the hospital.
According to reports, investigation to track down the gunmen is ongoing.
It was also reported that there was a massive protest at the University main gate yesterday 1 November over the unavailability of light and water in the school.
Presently students of the institution are afraid over the fight and have started to pack out of the school environment.
