Angry youths of Ogan Community in Orhionmwon, Edo state set the Enogie palace on fire, today, presumably in the night hours.

On the video shared online, a youth revealed that a ‘loyal soldier’ identified as Aghaouwa Pulley was allegedly shot dead by Soldiers brought by the embattled Enogie of Ogan and his sons.

This led to the burning down of the palace, seem the youth are joyous about the burning of the palace, indicating that the Enogie must have been oppressing them in the past.

Look at the Enogie… No! Former Enogie because we don’t have Enogie again, former Enogie palace burn to ashes…

He can die wherever he is because he caused this trouble…

According to a source, trouble started when the youths went to Enogie’s house to demand for a share of the Community money allegedly embezzled by the Enogie of Ogan and his sons. One of the Enogie sons was said to have driven to the scene with some armed soldiers, who started shooting sporadically to disperse the youths. In the process, a bullet allegedly hit one of the youths, Aghaouwa Pulley he died on the spot.

This angered the youths who inturn chase away the soldiers and burnt down the Enogie’s house.

As at the time of filing this report, Enogie and his family are no where to be found.

In another news, it was reported about the continuous crisis in some villages and communities over the illegal ways some Enogie are selling the lands, whereby putting the village farmers at risk due to insecurity in the country because their only source of livelihood is mainly farming.

Whereby the Enogies and other top people in the community are selling out the lands closer to their homes to rich foreign millionaires with the excuse of developing it, the poor farmers have no choice rather than to keep moving into the thick forest where they will have to walk for more miles before getting to the farm.
