26-year-old Joana Nnazua Kolo has been sworn in as the Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development by Governor of Kwara State, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.
Kolo, who is a 2018 graduate of Library Science of Kwara State University, is believed to be the youngest commissioner in the history of Nigeria.
She ended her National Youths Service Corps programme early October in Jigawa State, where she taught at Model Boarding Junior Secondary School Guri.
Taking to social media, she promised to never disappoint the youth and also carry out her duty diligently.
She tweeted,
“I was inaugurated as the Commissioner for Sports and Youth Development by His Excellency, @RealAARahman on Friday.
“I return all glory and adoration to Almighty God, I pray for His guidance in actualising the Kwara of our dream.
“I also want to express my gratitude to our indefatigable governor for the confidence he reposed in me to serve as one of his cabinet members.
“I promise to discharge my duty diligently and not to let our youth folks down.”
During the swearing-in of Kolo and other commissioners, Abdulrazaq urged them to engage, listen, and relate well with people whose mandate has put the administration in place.
