Rev Gabriel Ansah (Wotee) of Nasem University has been describing how ungrateful some Christians can be.
He says most of the people he prays for, send him emojis on WhatsApp and empty boxes of toys as Christmas gift but will run after fake pastors and pour their wealth on them instead of giving to the needy.
Lamenting how Christians of Today appear to be taking their job for granted, Rev Gabriel Ansah said the same people sending emojis as Christmas gifts are the same people who will be rushing to them at ungodly hours for prayers, counselling and support after the holidays.
Rev. Gabriel Ansah who was peaching his end of year sermon on-air, on the theme ‘reaching out to the poor and the needy’, revealed that Christians of today rather give to those they think can give them something in return and never to the needy as Jesus did.
Gabriel Ansah explained that Jesus focused on GIVING as the means to the kingdom of heaven but not the way most Christians of Today do it.
“Jesus Christ didn’t tell the rich man to accept him as personal saviour but rather asked him to sell all his belongings and share among the poor and follow him. Jesus also gave a parable about the rich man and Lazarus where the rich man went to hell because he didn’t give to Lazarus the poor man.” He proceeded.
The man of God says it shocking how he prays for people who receive many blessings and testimonies to show for it but only come back to thank him with emojis adding that the same people will go elsewhere and shower gifts on others they will get favours, hype and attention.
He was emphatic that he did not want anything in return but was only drawing attention to the need to help the poor knowing only God can reward you.
