A 21-year-old man, Onyeishi reportedly poisoned his twin brother’s food with rat poison.
The incident happened yesterday April 22 at Ogbo Uvuru Mbaise in Imo State, after Onyeishi’s twin brother, Chikemdi noticed that the stew in the pot had changed color and aroma.
He then questioned Onyeishi and ask him what happened to the stew, Onyeishi denied knowing anything about it.
Chikemdi not convinced about his twin brother’s response then raised alarm and drew the attention of the villagers who tortured him till he confessed that he put rat poison in the stew his twin brother wanted to eat.
It was gathered that they are triplets, the two boys and another girl, it was also gathered that the twin brothers were not having any sort of dispute or quarrel between them.
The friends of Onyeishi testified that he has been going about saying na “Ochoro igbu ozu”, meaning he wants to hammer and make money.
According to an eye witness, the person that lifted Onyeishi up when he fell on the ground is his twin brother Chikemdi that he wanted to poison.
