The Neo-Black Movement of Africa (NBM) Worldwide has expressed sadness over the killing of George Floyd, a 46-year-old black man who died after three white Minneapolis police officer forcefully kneeled on his neck during his arrest.
The group in a release signed by the National President, Chief Felix Kupa, and made available to news correspondent on Thursday, added that the rising cases of racial killings and white supremacy is getting out of hand.
It also decried the recent death of Uwaila Omozuwa, a 22-year-old 100 level student of University of Benin, Edo State, appealing to the Inspector General of Police to thoroughly investigate the matter and bring the perpetrators to book, ABNtv reports.
It, therefore, called for a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of a 17-year-old girl, Tina Ezekwe, who was allegedly killed by two police officers attached to the Bariga Police Station, Lagos, adding that the injustice was too many and glaring to be left with unattended to.
“We cannot live in a society where citizens can just be easily molested, abused, or murdered in broad daylight.”
