A pastor who identified himself simply as Lucky of Godsent Outreach Ministry was on Wednesday accused of stealing at Godsent Foundation of Ambassador Dion Osagie during his Facebook live stream on ‘Follow Up Cases – Solving Social Problems in Edo State.
According to the narratives in the video, Lucky who started working with the late father of Dion Osagie, let himself down by stealing and lying after 15 years of working there.
The man who said he is also the building supervisor of the Foundation was earlier accused of dishonesty over a task that was entrusted to him.
Apparently, his employer, Dion Osagie, alongside other workers, went behind him to verify the cost of the building materials estimate that the pastor had given to him, and it was discovered that the pastor increased the price with an additional 5,400 naira. When asked why he did that, he replied.
Sir, what we did there, as an engineer, when we go to market, we price something, maybe sometimes when we get to market the price will change, there is no way I will bother you of telling you that the price has changed.
He admitted to the accusation, saying, yes,
I gave one of my team worker 4,000 Naira and also spent some on myself.
Pastor Lucky was also accused of stealing foodstuffs from Godsent kitchen in the past.
Dion Osagie not convinced about his ridiculous explanation, scolded him, he told him ‘if you want to be working with me, the first thing is honesty, honesty is the key’
I prefer a thief than a liar because a thief is only after your salary, a liar is after your reality but the sad thing is that our so call pastor here, you are both!, you are a thief and you are a liar, said Dion.
The pastor was forgiven and given another chance because of his kids and due to his hard work but on one condition, he not be paid any salary for 3 months.
We see you as a very corrupt pastor and also a great guy, you are very proactive when it’s time to get the work done, but that doesn’t mean you have to steal from someone like me…
Because of your kids am going to forgive you, because if I fire you now your children will suffer…
But for the fact that we already know you are a confirmed thief, we are gonna close the church, we don’t need thief thief pastor in our church…
We are not going to give you any salary for 3 months, so that all the money you have stole, we will use it to recover… said Dion.
