According to Jack Obinyan some Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu’s supporters forcefully collected caps belonging to Governor Obaseki’s supporters and set them ablaze.
The incident reportedly happened yesterday at Ubiaja, Esan South-East Local Government Area (LGA), Edo State.
The adamant youths could be heard telling the other to record the moment, suggesting it was intentionally carried out.
“Just put fuel for all once”, said one of the boys.
Obinyan who is also from Ubiaja expressed his disappointment stating that they (PDP) refused to fight back but instead, they went on convincing voters to vote for Governor Godwin Obaseki come September 19, 2020.
So…This happened at Ubiaja yesterday, a criminal and deliberate provocation by the Ize-Iyamu camp. They forcefully took our caps from our supporters and burnt them. We refused to fall for the trap, instead of fighting back, we are convincing voters to vote for Governor Godwin Obaseki.
My question to them is if you are so sure you will win the elections, why destroy our materials? Why not convince voters with intellectual facts?
