Pregnant woman kidnapped by unknown gunmen in Edo, demands N5million

A pregnant woman identified as Uju Okwudili has reportedly been kidnapped by unknown gunmen in Benin City Edo State on Monday, November 30.

According to reports by Journalist Festus Alenkhe, Mrs Okwudili was taking her two children to school in the company of her husband at Ulemo Area of Airport Road when the gunmen accosted her and forced her into an Audi 80 car and drove off towards Ogba River in the locality leaving the husband and children behind.

It was also revealed that the kidnappers have called the victim’s husband demanding a huge sum of 5 million Naira as ransom.

Festus Alenkhe wrote;

“NEWS INFO: A Pregnant woman has been kidnapped by unknown gunmen in Benin city. The victim, Mrs Uju Okwudili who was in company of her husband was taking her two children to school at Ulemo area on Airport road in Benin city when the gunmen accosted her and forced her in to an Audi 80 car and drove off towards Ogba river in the locality leaving the husband and children behind. Report revealed that the woman is almost due for delivery and wondered why she was abducted. The husband who is still in shock CONFIRMED that the alleged kidnappers have already put a call across to the family requesting for the sum of five million naira ransom. Investigation further revealed that , the abducted pregnant woman was taking through Ogba river in Benin city.
