Two men’s opposing views about the role of women in a marriage has led to a debate.

One man named Victor Onyekachi Ojiako wrote on Facebook: “Never marry a jobless woman out of pity, let her get something doing first.”
And a man named Eric Ukaku responded, saying that a man who doesn’t earn enough to take care of himself and his wife doesn’t have to marry because “women are not created to toil with the man but to receive and be taken care of.”
He added: “If you marry and your wife decides to assist you financially, thank God but don’t make it a condition for marriage. You as the man should be financially stable before getting into marriage.”
