One Ibrahim Abdullahi has been arrested alongside three others for suspected gun running and supply to bandits’ camps in different part of the country.

The sum of N3,445,000 and one AK47 rifle were also recovered from the suspects who were paraded on Friday June 25, by the state police spokesperson SP Gambo Isah.

40-year-old Ibrahim Abdullahi who was accused of being the ringleader, reportedly confessed to the crime, saying that he and his gang members had taken 6 AK 47 rifles to a notorious bandits’ leader, Tukur Rabiu, alias “NASHARME” hiding at Rijana Forest, along Kaduna – Abuja road and collected the said amount in return for the arms.

Isah said;

“Suspect also confessed to be gunrunning for one Abu Rade, a notorious bandit hibernating at Rugu/Dumburum forests of Katsina and Zamfara states respectively.

“He further stated that he was being paid the sum of N100,000 as commission for each arm he supplied.

“He confessed to have supplied so many AK 47 rifles to different bandits’ camp in the country.”

The police also recovered one AK 47 rifle, twelve cows and eleven sheep in a foiled kidnapping/cattle rustling attempt at Tinya village, Batsari LGA of Katsina State in which one of the bandits were killed.
