There was a serious tension today in Imo State House of Assembly as gunshots wrecked the entire complex after the suspension of some members of the House was announced.
The Speaker of the House, Honorable Ugonna Ozuruigbo suspended 6 members for “unparliamentary conduct”
The suspended members are;
Uche Ogbuagu, Ikeduru; Barrister Anyadike, Ezinihitte; Ezerioha Dominic, Oru West; Philip Ejiogu Owerri North constituencies.
Others are Micheal Onyemaechi, Ihitte Uboma and Kennedy Ibe, Obowo constituencies.
In a similar development, Honorable Arthur Egwim was removed as the Chief Whip of the Assembly while Honorable Obinna Okwara, member representing Nkwerre replaced him.
Report says all other standing committees in the House have also been dissolved.
