Tobi became popular for wearing female clothes while creating videos and posing in photos alongside James Brown.

Now, with the House of reps members considering a bill to criminalise crossdressing, except when it’s done for the purpose of entertainment, Tobi has released a disclaimer, stating that he crossdresses only for entertainment purposes.

He wrote: “I am not a crossdresser. I have never been a crossdresser. I am a skitmaker/entertainer and entertainers are not limited to what to wear until now.”

James Brown, who is currently schooling in the UK, reshared Tobi’s disclaimer and mocked him for running.

“So you run?” James Brown asked as he shared Tobi’s post.

If the bill becomes law, crossdressers will be sentenced to 6 months in jail if found guilty.

Spokesperson of the command, SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, who disclosed this in a statement on Wednesday, April 6, said the suspect was arrested in possession of 22 ATM cards of different banks.

The suspect confessed to the crime and said their syndicate used to swap ATM cards and withdraw money from victims’ bank accounts.

“On the 20/03/2022 at about 2340hrs, a team of Operation Puff Adder led by CSP Mustapha S. Super Eagles star, Kelechi Nwakali accuses Spanish club SD Huesca of terminating his contract because he represented Nigeria at AFCON

0
Super Eagles midfielder, Kelechi Nwakali has accused his Spanish club, SD Huesca of terminating his contract because he represented Nigeria at AFCON in Cameroon.
Recall that Huesca announced on Tuesday that Nwakali’s contract was terminated without giving any reason for the termination.
In a statement, the club wrote; “The club ends the contractual relationship that linked the Barca entity with the footballer, and which expired in June 2022.”
Reacting to his termination, Nwakali released a statement on Wednesday, where he accused the club’s Sporting Director, Ruben Garcia of being the brain behind the termination.
He also claimed that his issues with the club started after he was invited to the Super Eagles squad for the Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon, but Garcia asked him to turn down the invitation as it was ‘not an important tournament’
Nwakali also accused the club of “abusing its power to bully me into signing a new contract.”
The statement reads:
“It comes with huge regret that I am writing this message after SD Huesca announced the termination of my contract. I have kept silent out of respect for the Huesca fans and my teammates, but I will no longer suffer in silence. The time has come for people to know the truth and why these past few months have been awful for me and my family.
“In Dec 2021, I experienced the biggest honour of my life after I received a full international call up for my beloved Nigeria. But the joy of this moment quickly came crashing down when the club’s Sporting Director, Ruben Garcia, put extreme pressure on me not to go to AFCON due to it ‘not being an important tournament’. He told me that if I go to AFCON I will not play for Huesca again.
“This behaviour and the lack of respect shown to my country Nigeria was truly heart-breaking and it was just the latest example of the club attempting to bully me into getting their own way.
“For months the club has been abusing its power to bully me into signing a new contract.
“These tactics have included paying me late on numerous occasions. The breakdown in negotiations came when my mother fell ill and I asked Ruben for the wages the club already owed me in order to pay for my Mother’s hospital bill and treatment. Ruben Garcia responded to my request by saying ‘Sign this new contract and we will pay you what’s owed tonight’
“But despite these actions, I was not going to allow the club to stop me representing my country at one of the biggest international tournaments in the world and I was honoured to join my teammates in Cameroon.
“Before Nigeria’s last 16 game against Tunisia on 23rd January 2022, I began to feel unwell and was diagnosed with a Respiratory Tract Infection. As a result I was not fit enough to play in the game against Tunisia. After we were eliminated from the tournament I was unable to return to the club immediately as planned because of my illness following advice from the Doctor.
“Then, on the last day of the transfer market (January 31, 2022) when I was in the process of returning to join my teammates at Huesca, Ruben Garcia rang me to tell me I had to leave the club after a late offer came in from another La Liga 2 club. He threatened that he would not pay me if I did not leave the club. The option that was given to me was leave or we will open up disciplinary action. Before January 31st, I was never told by the club that they wanted to let me leave in January and this was not a decision that I felt was right for me at the time.
“After returning to the club on February 1st, Ruben Garcia and the club’s lawyers opened disciplinary proceedings against me, suspending me from training and banning me from the training ground. As a result, I had to seek the help of the Spanish Footballers Union
“(The AFE) who have been in an ongoing dispute with Huesca. After over a month passed, the club allowed me back into the training ground but have been forcing me to train on my own and have not been allowing me to use the facilities or receive treatment from the club physios.
“Throughout this time, Huesca have not paid my wages, yet I have remained silent hoping that a reasonable resolution could be found. But yesterday when I turned up to the training ground, a member of the club tried to force me to sign mutual termination papers which I refused to do. I have a family that depends on me, and no player should have to go through this inhumane treatment.
“I will never regret my decision to represent Nigeria and all I want to do is get back to playing the sport I love.
“Lastly, I want to thank the fans and my teammates of Huesca who have been amazing during my time here. I have always given 100% for the club, despite my treatment over the past 3 years.”

An elderly man who went missing 10 days ago in the Nevada desert, US has been found dead while his wife is recovering in the hospital after their RV got stuck in the mud.
Ronnie Barker, 72, and his 69-year-old wife, Beverly, were found by a rescue team late Tuesday, April 5 after they vanished on March 27 while driving.

Man, 72, found dead while his wife is hospitalized after going missing in desert for almost two weeks

The couple, who were due to return home to Indianapolis this week, had set off on a cross-country road trip last month and were en route to meet friends in Tucson, Arizona, when they disappeared.

They were reported missing by their children after they failed to meet their friends.

The couple’s abandoned RV was located in a muddy, mountainous terrain near Silver Peak, their nephew, Travis Peters, said in a Facebook post.

The car they had been towing behind the RV had been removed by the time rescuers reached the area.

It wasn’t immediately clear how far away the couple were found, but their family believe they would have gone looking for help in the secondary vehicle after the RV became bogged down.
Hours after the couple were located, their children received a text from one of their phones asking for help, Peters said.
“A single text message was received to Ronnie and Bev’s daughters,” he said.

“That text message was trying to send out and I can only assume that as Bev was airlifted to the hospital, or perhaps their belongings were brought down the mountain, that message finally came through. But now we know it arrived too late.”
Beverly was airlifted to a Reno hospital, where she is still undergoing treatment.
It is not yet clear when her husband died.

Police had previously revealed during their search that the Barkers both suffered from diabetes and Ronnie had also previously battled cancer.

Sex cult leader Larry Ray who ‘forced victims to wear diapers, suck on pacifiers and sleep nude’ after winning their trust as a father figure set to get life imprisonment

0

Lawrence “Larry” Ray has been found guilty of racketeering, trafficking, forced labor and could face life in prison after he was convicted on Wednesday, April 6.

Lawrence Ray was found guilty of sex trafficking and other crimes for forcing young adults into prostitution or forced labor after winning their trust by posing as a father figure.
Larry started a cult among his daughter Sarah Lawrence’s friends in her college dormitory 12 years ago and engaged in racketeering, sex trafficking and forced labor on his young adult victims, the court said

Sex cult leader Larry Ray who

It took the jury just few hours on Wednesday to convict Ray, 62, on all 15 counts.

In the last decade Larry ran a criminal enterprise in which he brainwashed and abused his victims, extracting free labor and a significant amount of “restitution” money.

The court was shown evidence how Ray took control of a set of his daughter Talia’s college friends after moving into their campus housing in 2010.
One of the victims, Santos Rosario, later brought two of his sisters into the mix; their involvement with Ray devastated the Rosario family financially and psychologically.
Both sisters are Ivy League-educated, but Felicia Rosario, a medical school graduate, dropped out of her residency program at a California hospital to be with Ray and never went back.

She now works as a tutor; her younger sister Yalitza is unemployed.

The three siblings, who were in courton Wednesday to hear the verdict, left the courtroom with prosecutors.

They declined to speak to reporters after.

The court heard how Ray collected blackmail material by routinely filming or taking audio recordings of his victims confessing to non-existent offenses and crimes.

After aome time, he started to order the young adults to do chores for him and began giving them sexual assignments, including sometimes to have sex with each other.

Claudia Drury, one of his victims, joined his cult aged 19. She testified that she spent four years working as a prostitute in New York hotel rooms, giving about $2.5 million in her earnings directly to Ray.

Also, Santos Rosario worked as a waiter one summer, handing off everything he earned to Ray. He also paid Ray $150,000 in installments, money that he got from his parents, plus another $13,000 he stole from their business
“When [Ray’s] victims were completely subdued, when they were under his control, he committed crimes to get them to pay — extortion, forced labor, sex trafficking, obstruction of justice, financial crimes,” Assistant U.S. Attorney Mary Bracewell argued .
“The defendant did all of this for control, for his own greed, and to increase his power, to cement his position in the organized group that he led.”

He moved into his daughter’s dorm and targeted her roommates for sex trafficking, prosecutors said.

Prosecutors said Ray captivated his psychologically fragile admirers with tales about his life and the contacts he said he had in government, law enforcement and the military. He once was close with former New York Police Commissioner Bernard Kerik, serving as as best man at Kerik’s wedding.

Ray took credit for sending Kerik to prison on corruption-related charges in 2010.

He told victims that he believed there was a government conspiracy to harm him and that his enemies, including Kerik, were out to get him. He also accused his victims of working with his enemies to poison him, his daughter and others.

Ray’s victims were conditioned to believe they were guilty, and in turn they conceded that they owed Ray favors and a lot of money. They testified that they were scared of going to prison for what Ray told them were crimes, and said he routinely threatened to turn them in.

He is scheduled for sentencing Sept. 16 and faces the possibility of life in prison on his sex trafficking conviction and decades behind bars on the other counts.

The Weeknd threatens to pull out of coachella unless he gets the same pay as Kanye West

0

The Weeknd has threatened to pull out of Coachella because his pay is less than Kanye West’s expected paycheck.

It was revealed on Wednesday, April 6, that The Weeknd and Swedish House Mafia were set to replace Kanye West, who recently dropped out of both of his Sunday headlining slots.

West was reportedly prepared to make $8 million, plus a $500,000 production fee if he played the festival.

A source told Page Six: “The Weeknd came in at short notice to take Kanye’s top spot. But Phil Anschutz [who owns the Coachella Festival through AEG Live] wanted to hold on to Kanye’s money and pay The Weeknd far less, just a few million. The festival would pocket the rest.”

This led to negotiations between The Weeknd’s management and Anschutz’s company Goldenvoice, which produces the festival.

The source added: “Even after Coachella announced the new lineup on Wednesday, a deal wasn’t in place for The Weeknd, who threatened to pull out at an hour’s notice if he didn’t get the same deal as Kanye.

“Finally, on Wednesday — faced with the prospect of a second headline act pulling out of Coachella at the last minute — Anschutz’s company caved and agreed to pay The Weeknd the same money.”

New York judge commits suicide weeks after FBI raided his home

0

A New York State judge committed suicide on Tuesday, April 5, less than two weeks after his home was searched by law enforcement authorities.

Judge John L. Michalski, an acting justice of the State Supreme Court, was found dead at his home in Amherst, N.Y., shortly before noon, one of his lawyers, Terrence Connors, said.

“It’s difficult to explain what a tragedy this is,” said Mr. Connors, a longtime friend of Justice Michalski’s, adding that “it would be difficult to find a judge who was more respected” in the Western New York legal community.

Federal and state law enforcement officers had executed a search warrant at Justice Michalski’s home 12 days before his death, against the backdrop of the federal prosecution of one of his former clients.

Michalski, 61, had been eyed by investigators for years, but no criminal charges were ever filed against him. His looming legal woes seemed to be “manageable,” Connors said.

Justice Michalski’s death, at 61, came a little more than a year after another apparent suicide attempt in which, according to police records, he was struck by a freight train after lying on the tracks in a rail yard near Buffalo in the middle of the day. He sustained a serious leg injury but was otherwise unhurt, Mr. Connors said.

Days after the February 2021 incident, Michalski was questioned by federal agents about his friendship with Peter Gerace Jr., the owner of a strip club in Cheektowaga and a former client, the Buffalo News reported.

Michalski was injured by the freight train on the same day Gerace was charged with several felonies, including drug and sex trafficking, as well as bribing a federal agent. Gerace denies the allegations, according to the newspaper.

The episode prompted him to take a leave from his $210,900-a-year seat on the bench. He returned to work in January after meeting every requirement for doing so and had begun taking on a full caseload, Mr. Connors said.

But last month, Justice Michalski came under renewed scrutiny, and his cases were once again reassigned, after federal and state investigators raided his home. He had not been charged with any crime, but he had drawn the authorities’ attention because of his ties to Peter Gerace Jr., the owner of a strip club in Cheektowaga, another Buffalo suburb.

Mr. Gerace was charged in federal court in Florida last year with sex trafficking, drug distribution and bribery of a former Drug Enforcement Administration agent. He denies the charges, and the case has since been transferred to the Western District of New York.

The former agent, Joseph Bongiovanni, has been charged with bribery, obstruction and conspiracy. An indictment detailing the charges against the two men says that Mr. Bongiovanni’s associates included people “he believed to be members of, connected to or associated with” organized crime.

Another man identified in the indictment as having links to organized crime is Michael Masecchia, a longtime Buffalo schoolteacher now facing up to life in prison after pleading guilty to gun and drug charges.

The relationship between Justice Michalski and Mr. Gerace went back decades, to when the judge was in private practice and did legal work for Mr. Gerace’s club, the lawyer, Anthony J. Lana, told The News.

In 2006, The News reported, Justice Michalski wrote a letter to a federal judge seeking a lenient sentence for Mr. Gerace, who had been convicted of wire fraud in connection with a sweepstakes telemarketing business. In the letter, The News reported, the judge said he and Mr. Gerace had been friends for a decade.

Mr. Connors said on Tuesday that Justice Michalski, a town prosecutor in Amherst and an assistant district attorney in Erie County earlier in his career, had “conveyed to the authorities repeatedly that he had no knowledge of any of Mr. Gerace’s allegedly illegal activities.”

“He was a client,” Mr. Connors said of the men’s relationship. Based on the information in the search warrants executed on Justice Michalski’s home last month, he added, the investigators appeared to be focused on an online business the judge’s wife ran from home selling clothes on consignment.

Mr Connors said: “If they would have called me and asked for what they were looking for, we would have given it to them. We would have cooperated the same way we have cooperated all along.”

PHOTOS | ‘Jealous’ – Cristiano Ronaldo responds after Wayne Rooney insisted his return to Manchester United has not benefitted the club

0
Portugal and Manchester United icon, Cristiano Ronaldo has hit back at his former team-mate, Wayne Rooney after he suggested that Manchester United should move on without the Portuguese star at the end of the season.

Rooney delivered a scathing attack of the forward on Monday following United’s 1-1 draw against Leicester City at the weekend.
On Sky Sports, Rooney called for Ronaldo to leave this summer alongside midfielder Paul Pogba, claiming his return has not benefited the club saying the veteran superstar should be replaced by ‘younger, hungry players’

‘You’d have to say no,’ Rooney said, when asked if Ronaldo coming back to the Premier League had benefitted United.

‘He’s scored, he’s scored important goals in the Champions League games early on in the season. He scored the hat-trick against Tottenham.

‘But I think if you’re looking to the future of the club, you have to go with younger, hungry players to do their best to lift Manchester United over these next two or three years.’

‘And obviously Cristiano is getting on a bit. He certainly isn’t the player he was when he was in his 20s. And that happens, that’s football. He’s a goal threat but I think the rest of the game they need more, they need young, hungry players.

‘I think they’ve got good young players. I think Sancho will be better next year, I think Marcus will be better next year.

The Derby boss later posted a photo of him on the show alongside Jamie Carragher and presenter David Jones on his Instagram page.

Ronaldo took the opportunity to hit back at Rooney’s criticism on the show as he commented on the post, writing: ‘Two Jealous.’

Dairo Antonio Úsuga, better known as Otoniel, led Colombia’s biggest drug cartel for years and is wanted in the US on drug trafficking charges.
He was arrested in October 2021 by Colombia’s special forces and his arrest was compared to the fall of Pablo Escobar by President Iván Duque. Before his arrest he was chased for seven years .

Colombia’s Justice Minister Wilson Ruiz had pledged to extradite Otoniel to the US after his capture last year, following the request by Justice Department officials in Washington in 2021.

“Extradition awaits all those who commit international crimes,” Defence Minister Diego Molano said at the time.

But Otaniel’s lawyers had argued that he should have been included in a special tribunal where participants in Colombia’s six-decade internal conflict between government forces and Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (Farc) rebels can receive different sentences for confessing their participation.
His layers claimed Otaniel, 50, was willing to reveal some details of collaboration between central government officials and illegal armed groups in exchange for preventing his extradition.

Prior to his capture, Otoniel was Colombia’s most wanted man and the government had offered a $800,000 (£582,000) reward for information about his whereabouts, while the US had placed a $5m bounty on his head.

From winning an ovarian lottery from an incredible mother who for 41 years has taught me that there’s no bigger weapon for success than generosity; As I turn 41 on Friday the 8th of April, 2022, I am inundated by the happenings in our dear country Nigeria and the constant travails of People especially petty traders who are working tirelessly, but with little to show for their efforts. From fuel scarcity to the rising cost of diesel and collapse of the national grid which has led to little or no electricity supply, one is left to wonder how citizens, especially petty traders are surviving in these difficult times. Increasing cost of transportation and food items. Not to even mention the constant menace of kidnapping and insecurity that has become our reality within the last few years.

In view of this, and considering that as the son of a one-time petty trader mother, who has now grown to become the top 3 distributors for Nestle, courtesy of the mercies of God, I have decided to take my birthday celebration to the market where it all began and gift 41 people one hundred thousand naira each, to boost their business or private life. For some of these SMEs, their entire trade is not even up to N20,000 and yet these men and women struggle daily to fend for their families. I believe that an injection of N100,000 would help to put a smile on their faces and stock up more goods.

Growing up in Agege and getting to this level of success, my story would never have been possible without the mercy of God and the blessing of being a Nigerian and living in Nigeria, a land where opportunities abound. Nigeria is the only country where an Indian can come in as a store keeper and then become a manufacturer, and a Lebanese could also come in as a project manager and become a big-time contractor. Nigeria has birthed great men in the likes of Aliko Dangote, Mike Adenuga, Abdul Samad Rabiu, Innoson; and if these men could make it here in Nigeria, anyone whether in the middle of Kano, or in the center of Awka, or even in the town of Agege, can also make it in Nigeria because I believe that the problem of the Nigerian youth is not a lack of creativity, but a lack of capital.

My intention with the Homewin MEGA Promo is to touch many lives within the space of 100 days and to give many Nigerians the opportunity to be a part of this mega promo with just N500. I believe that luck is not as random as people think, because you can’t be lucky if you don’t take steps to play, if you play you stand a chance to win but if you don’t play, you have removed yourself from the basket of winners. Success is not served ala carte, it is a buffet, and you have to go for it!

A Ukrainian mom was so scared she would lose her life while trying to save her toddler from the war that she wrote a list of family contacts on the young girl’s back to help identify her other family members.
Sasha Makoviy, an artist based in Kyiv shared the photo of her diaper-wearing daughter Vira’s back covered in her personal info, including her name, date of birth and a series of contact details.

She said a “crazy thought flashed through my mind: Why didn’t I tattoo her with this information?”

The heartbreaking image has gone viral in Ukraine after it was shared by Kyiv Independent journalist Anastasiia Lapatina, who wrote, “Ukrainian mothers are writing their family contacts on the bodies of their children in case they get killed and the child survives.
“And Europe is still discussing gas,” she said dismissively.
Makoviy updated her followers Tuesday, April 5, saying she and her daughter were now “safe.”
“We managed to cross the border, and now we’re in the South of France,” she said alongside a new photo of a smiling Vira tending to some flowers.
“We’ve been staying with volunteers who invited us here and offered accommodation,” she wrote, saying her daughter’s pretty pink dress in the image was a gift from “a caring French family.”
“I’m moved to tears,” she said of the response to her post and offers of support.
